Recovery Right Where You Are
Outpatient Addiction Rehab Treatment in Alabama
About Bradford at Warrior’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Warrior’s intensive outpatient program allows patients to balance substance abuse treatment while maintaining important life responsibilities at home. IOP sessions are flexible and can be held virtually, one-on-one, or in a hybrid setting. Through the Bradford Health System, our professionals can place you in an IOP program at locations in Huntsville, Florence, Birmingham, Mobile, and Montgomery. They can also be attended in parts of Tennessee, like Chattanooga and Knoxville.
An evaluation can also be done to see if patients have the best chance of recovery by attending our partial hospitalization program at our Estate or Reprieve facility.
Patients don’t need to live or spend the night at the facility while in IOP. While enrolled in outpatient care, they attend morning or evening treatment sessions during the week. These sessions can be attended when convenient for your lifestyle and allow you to live at home. The treatment and therapy involved in outpatient rehab are like inpatient treatment but allow patients to fulfill life obligations. Our IOP program can be ideal for certain pregnant or working people who are seeking recovery.
Please contact us 24/7; we will work with you to see if the Warrior outpatient program suits you.

How Does IOP Work?
Intensive outpatient rehab is drug rehabilitation for recovering addicts that is designed for sobriety through flexible care during the day rather than around-the-clock services like at an inpatient facility. This means that after the treatment session, you are free to go home without needing to stay at the facility.
Although outpatient rehab is more flexible than inpatient care, it still involves intense therapy and treatment sessions. You’ll get many of the same therapies and life tools that you would in an inpatient setting from our addiction professionals. Common treatments and therapies performed in outpatient therapy include:
Group Therapy
Individual Counseling
Family Support Groups (Virtually)
Education Sessions
The primary goal of intensive outpatient rehab is to help you start adjusting back to your normal life following an addiction. It can be more successful when you go to outpatient rehab following a stint at an inpatient facility, but IOP is often done first without completing an inpatient program.
Going to outpatient rehab after attending inpatient therapy can reduce the chances of relapse. In fact, between 40% and 60% of people who go through a rehabilitation program to overcome their addiction will relapse at one point or another. Outpatient care can help keep you from joining this statistic, as it reduces your chance of relapsing after going through detox and recovery.
What Addiction Are Treated in IOP Care?
As with inpatient facilities, outpatient rehab centers focus on helping individuals overcome substance abuse and addictions. Depending on the rehabilitation facility recommended to you, you can treat nearly any addiction in an outpatient setting that you can in an inpatient. Common addictions treated with IOP care include:
Prescription Drugs
Benzodiazepines
Methamphetamines
Alcohol
Opioids
Heroin
Oxycotin
Fentanyl
Barbituates
Please note that, depending on the substance and severity of use, a medically assisted treatment (MAT) period at the Warrior facility may be required for safe detoxing. This is because of the dangers involved while detoxing from heroin, opioids, barbiturates, alcohol, and other substances.

-
IOP facilities in Alabama, including Bradford at Warrior, accept most of the major commercial insurance providers. This is because the Affordable Care Act considers substance abuse treatment as an essential health benefit and thus requires most major insurance providers to offer full or partial coverage for IOP care.

How to Find Out if Your Insurance Will Pay for IOP Care
Because not all insurances will pay for IOP care, it’s important to check coverage before receiving treatment. At Warrior, our call center staff is here 24/7 to help you determine what your insurance will cover and work out a payment plan.
Can You Still Have IOP Care if You Don’t Have Insurance?
While insurance will often cover all or part of your IOP care, this isn’t always the case. However, if you don’t have health insurance or your insurance doesn’t help with IOP care, you shouldn’t let that keep you from the care you need to make a full and lasting recovery from addiction. Bradford at Warrior offers self-pay payment plans to make paying for your care more affordable.
